Jan Rivers – Public Good Champion
Jan is Wellington based, and a librarian who arrived from the UK 25 years ago. She has worked in businesses, charities and in local and central government. She loves understanding how our public sphere works. She believes that our public services and democratic processes are a Taonga that need to be nurtured and supported by us all.
Why Public Good? When I looked for a citizen organisation that advocated for a deeper democracy, supported by a well resourced and effective public sector, there was no such organisation in New Zealand. Public Good and its network is the result.
Rosemary Neave – WordPress Web Designer, Passionate Networker for Social Change
Rosemary lives in Waipu, Northland and Christchurch and is presently the web person for Public Good, building on Jan’s beginnings. She has a background in community work, tourism, WordPress, women and travel, and the Anglican Church.
Why Public Good? I was looking for a way to stimulate more debate and interest in the 2014 election and generally in the democratic process.
