This is a survey on Workplace Bullying posted on behalf of Ada Cecilia Magadia Umali, a Masters student in Public Policy at Victoria University of Wellington.
Given what has been in the news about staff in emergency units in public hospitals recently this is a live issue but Ada is collecting data from across the spectrum of workplaces. This research project is work towards her a Research Project that is part of the Masters Degree. Ada has been with the New Zealand Nurses Organisation but has moved to a role with the Council for International Development while she is studying. The survey is anonymous but it does capture some demographic data for each participant.
What is the aim of the project?
The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the New Zealand Guidelines on Workplace Bullying, released by WorkSafe in 2014. It covers:
How much awareness do employees have of WorkSafe New Zealand Guidelines on Workplace Bullying?
What is the effect of the guidelines on:
Bullying behaviours (both reported and non-reported)
Prevention of bullying
Resolution of bullying incidents reported
